Due to heavy raining in 03 months,  all the roads and farming land distorted.In the same time more than 100 Elephants inter their village .So reaming vegetables,paddy , banana and temporary houses were damaged  by the Elephants.So these people complained to the Authorities but still they didn't get any result .So they decided to conduct the protest in front of the District Secretariat.So all they village leaders get together 19 th morning at the Kovil and they decided to do it 20 th March.

They have 30 members for their village meeting .Every month they conducted the meeting and they started saying among the group.

focusing issues are 

*To get their basic rights from the government.Mainly they are fighting for the Drinking Water.They have one tube well for the 110 families.

*Protecting the Human rights 

*They are also facing the elephant human conflict issue.

*Protection the WHFs rights.

They have 40 members for their village meeting . Fifth of Every month they conducted the meeting and they started saying among the group.

Thunpalachcholi village

They have 27 members for their village meeting . Every month they conducted the meeting and they started saying among the group.Most of them  are labours .So women go abroad for the employment.  

focusing issues are 

*To get their basic rights from the government.

*Participate the development activities which are conducted by the GO

*Protecting the Human rights.

*To find their disappearance  relatives 

*Support for the Livelihood from the GO and NGOs

*Protection the WHFs rights.

Common discussion in all the villages

*Present livelihood condition and what can they do for the livelihood promotion.

-Animal husbandry,Home garden ,Sowing ,Small shops,food items .They ask the support to develop these income generation projects.

*Most of them ask the human right training and Education on the LLRC recommendations. 

*They ask the  support to strengthen  the Gandi forum for the common actions

மீள்குடியேற்ற நடவடிக்கைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்ய இன்னமும் ஐந்து ஆண்டுகள் தேவைப்படலாம் என மீள்குடியேற்ற பிரதி அமைச்சர் விநாயகமூர்த்தி முரளிதரன் எனப்படும் கருணா அம்மான் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

கட்டம் கட்டமாக மீள்குடியேற்ற நடவடிக்கைகள் மேற்கொள்ளப்படுகின்றன.
மீள்குடியேற்ற நடவடிக்கைகளை அரசியலாக கருதக் கூடாது.
தமிழ், சிங்கள மற்றும் முஸ்லிம் மக்கள் இடம்பெயர்ந்துள்ளனர்.
மக்களை மீள்குடியேற்றும் நடவடிக்கைகளுக்கு பல அமைச்சுக்கள் ஒத்துழைப்பு வழங்கியுள்ளன.
அரசாங்கம் 12000 வீடுகளை அமைத்துள்ளது.
அரச சார்பற்ற நிறுவனங்கள், இந்திய அரசாங்கம் போன்றவற்றின் ஒத்துழைப்புடன் மேலும் வீடுகள் நிர்மானிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாக கருணா அம்மான் தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.

மட்டக்களப்பில் வெலிக்காகண்டி கிராமமக்களால் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்ட விசித்திர போராட்டம்

மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தின் செங்கலடி பிரதேச செயலகத்துக்குட்பட்ட மீள்குடியேற்றம் செய்யப்பட்ட எல்லைக் கிராமமான வெலிக்காகண்டி கிராம மக்களின் அடிப்படை தேவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்யுமாறு கோரி விசித்திர போராட்டம் ஒன்றை முன்னெடுத்தனர்.

இன்று புதன்கிழமை காலை தமது வீட்டில் உள்ள பொருட்களுடன் மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்ட செயலகத்துக்கு முன்பாக இந்த விசித்திர போராட்டத்தில் ஈடுபட்டனர்.

மட்டக்களப்பின் மிகவும் பின் தங்கிய எல்லைக் கிராமமான வெலிக்காகண்டி கிராமம் 1990 ஆண்டு முதல் யுத்த அனர்த்தத்தினால் கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்பட்டது.

கடந்த காலத்தில் பல்வேறு அச்சுறுத்தல்கள் காரணமாக பல தடவைகள் இடம்பெயர்ந்து மீளக்குடியமர்த்தப்பட்ட ஒரு கிராமமாகும்.அத்துடன் கடந்த காலத்தில் ஏற்பட்ட இயற்கை அனர்த்தங்களிள்போதும் மிகவும் கஸ்டத்துக்குள்ளாகும் ஒரு பிரதேசமாகவும் உள்ளது.

மிக முக்கிய பிரச்சினையாக யானையின் தாக்குதல் இந்தப் பிரதேசத்தில் அதிகரித்த நிலையில் உள்ளதால் மக்களின் அன்றாட செயற்பாடுகள் மிகவும் பாதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

இக்கிராமத்தில் 57 குடும்பங்கள் வசித்து வருகின்றன. இந்த கிராமத்திற்குள் யானைகள் நாளாந்தம் புகுந்து அட்டகாசம் செய்து வருவதுடன் இந்த கிராமத்தில் இது வரைக்கும் 5 பேர் யானைகளின் தாக்குதலுக்குள்ளாகி படுகாயமடைந்துள்ளனர்.

அத்தோடு பல வீடுகள் சேதப்படுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளன யானைகளின் அட்டகாசத்தினால் தாம் அச்சத்துடன் வாழ்வதாகவும் யானைகளின் தாக்குதல்களிலிருந்து தமக்கு பாதுகாப்பு வழங்குமாறு கடந்த காலங்களில் பல்வேறு தடவைகள் அதிகாரிகளிடம் கோரிக்கைகளை முன்வைத்தபோதும் எதுவும் கருத்தில் கொள்ளப்படவில்லையெனவும் மக்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்.

அதுமட்டுமன்றி கிழக்கின் உதயம், தேசத்துக்கு மகுடம் என பல்வேறு திட்டங்களின் மூலம் பல அபிவிருத்திகள் மட்டக்களப்பு மாவட்டத்தில் மேற்கொள்ளப்பட்டுவரும் நிலையில் தங்களது கிராமம் இவற்றில் இருந்து புறக்கணிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொள்வோர் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்.

தமது கிராமத்துக்கு செல்லும் வீதி மிக மோசமான நிலையில் பழுதடைந்துள்ள நிலையில் அவை இதுவரையில் திருத்தப்படவில்லை. அனைத்து கிராமத்துக்கும் மின்சாரம் திட்டம் முன்னெடுக்கப்பட்டுவரும் நிலையில் எங்களது கிராமத்துக்கு இதுவரையில் மின்சாரம் வழங்கப்படவில்லை எனவும் மக்கள் கவலை தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்.

கிராமத்துவரும் வழியில் ஓடும் ஆற்றைக் கடந்தே கிராமத்துக்கு செல்ல வேண்டும். மழை காலங்களில் எட்டு அடிக்கு மேல் நீர் செல்கின்றது. இதன் காரணமாக கிராமத்துக்கான போக்குவரத்துக்கள் துண்டிக்கப்படும் நிலை காணப்படும் இது தொடர்பில் அதிகாரிகளின் கவனத்துக்கு கொண்டுவந்தபோது அதற்குரிய பணம் இல்லையென்கின்றனர். அவ்வாறானால் நாங்கள் இது தொடர்பில் எங்கு செல்வது எனவும் இப்பிரதேச மக்கள் கேள்வியெழுப்புகின்றனர்.

அத்துடன் யானைகளின் தாக்குதல்கள் காரணமாக பல்வேறு இழப்புகளின் மத்தியில் தமது மாணவர்கள் பாடசாலைக்கு போகமுடியாத நிலையேற்பட்டுவருவதனால் கல்வியிலும் பெரும் வீழ்ச்சியை சமூகம் எதிர்நோக்குவதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டக்காரர்கள், தமது கிராமத்துக்கு அருகில் வனஜீவராசி திணைக்கள அலுவலகம் ஒன்றினை திறந்து அதன் மூலம் யானைகளின் தாக்குதலை குறைக்க உதவவேண்டும் எனவும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்.

ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் வெலிக்காகண்டி கிராமத்தில் இருந்த சிறுவர்கள் முதல் பெரியவர்கள் வரை கலந்துகொண்டதுடன், “விவசாயத்துக்கு ஏற்றவகையில் நீர்பாசன வாய்க்கால்களை சீர்செய்து தாருங்கள்”, “காணி உரிமை பத்திரங்களை பெய ஆவன செய்யுங்கள்”, “முன்னோர் காலம் தொட்டு மின்சார வசதியில்லை”, “எப்போது மின்சாரம் கிடைக்கும், அரசின் அபிவிருத்தி திட்டங்களில் எமது கிராமங்களும் உள்வாங்கப்படுமா?, எங்கே கிழக்கின் உதயம், யுத்தத்தின் வடுக்கல் எப்போது கிராமத்தில் இருந்து மறையும்” என்ற வாசகங்கள் தாங்கிய பதாகைகளையும் ஆர்ப்பாட்டத்தில் கலந்துகொண்டோர் தாங்கியிருந்தனர்.

இந்த ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடைபெற்றபகுதிக்கு வந்த முன்னாள் முதலமைச்சரும் ஜனாதிபதியின் ஆலோசகருமான சிவநேசதுரை சந்திரகாந்தன், முன்னாள் மாகாணசபை உறுப்பினர் பூ.பிரசாந்தன் ஆகியோர் ஆர்ப்பாட்டக்காரர்களுடன் பேச்சுவார்த்தை நடத்தினர்.
