Workshop on Multi-Stakeholder Forum on Civil society Organization Enabling Environment was conducted  at Janaki Hotal on 05 0f September.This workshop is organised by Monlar.

NAFSO Convener Herman Kumara conducted session on policy influence at the CSO workshop

 There was a Big protest against the India trawler issues on 23rd September 2015. More than 1000 people were participated in Jaffna peninsula.Protest was  organizeed by Northern Province Fisher People Unity, Rural fisheries federation, Fisheries cooperative society Union and District fisheries solidarity movement.

"We are still in the camp, When will get back to our land"

Waleiuththu people said in the meeting which was conducted on 29 th.of August. They displaced since 1985. Government plan to resettle them at Kuburupitiya but most of them refuse to go there because if they move to that place they lost their livelihood .So they ask the land close to camp. They were educated on VGGT And VGSSF by NAFSO team. Finaly they prepared the action plan for the future

More than 42 IDP camps in Jaffna district

NAFSO Team conducted research on IDP camps in Jaffna district on 24, 25 and 26 of August. 20 members from Jaffna,Mannar,Trincomalee,Ampara,Puttlam,Gampaha District coordinators and Animators and also volunteers from Jaffna participated this research. In the same time Herman Kumara and other five from National NAFSO Office joint this research. We plan to publish this report on 07 of September 2015.
