Issues of IDPs in Jaffna

Conducted meeting with IDP Leaders on 28 of April at Jaffna Yalpadi hall.,District comity leaders and women leaders also participated the meeting .They discussed their issues and how they faced as team.More than 30 members participated.

Fisher union meeting was conducted at NAFSO training center on  25 of April . 32 fisher leaders participatrd that meeting.
They discussed and analyzed the present  crises of the fishermen. In the same time they selected new leaders for the union..

Give the ligal document for our Land

We visited to Pannama on 22 and 23 of APRIL .The pannama people entered their own land at Ragamvila after the victory of court case but still they are not allowed to enter though the road which is blocked by Air force. However ,they use the other olternative road and they have been living in the temporary sheds. In the other hand people are unable to obtain the court order in written even if they attempted many times. the delay of obtaining the court order in written indicate the inefficiency of the mechanism of the government administration. Therefore , the slow process of government shows their is an agenda behind these all. Minister Dayagamage pointed out in a news article that a maga tourism project will be introduced from Pottuvil to Paanama. we don't know how long people will tolerate this oppression.

People's Alliance for Right to Land(PARL) Strategic Workshop was  conducted  at Hotel Tamarind Tree Katunayaka on 05 and 07  April .

Stop Port city

Protest was  conducted  in front of the Goleface against the portcity project on 04 of April .New government also plan to start the portcity agian.So Religious leaders, Fishermen,Women,Civil society leaders joint this protest.They  asked not to start the port city project as they promised during election.

women empoerment

Training program was conducted for fisher women in Negombo on 02 of April at NAFSO training center.  It was started last month.This training is continuing till September with 07 modules. Self awareness ,program  process and introduction of the Social media were covered today. A.Jesudasan,Laksiri Fernando and Priyankara costa facilitated the program.
