Food Sovereignty campaign in 2015

People's Caravan for Food Sovereignty - 2015 took place from 01th to 16th October 2015 in different regions in country covering 9 provinces.

The farmers, fisher folks, labors, women, consumers, academics, religious leaders, scholars and also the individuals and their organizations conducted and participated in the events organized such as meetings, discussions, seminars, protests, people's tribunals etc. to discuss, highlight and emphasis the need to protect and ensure of the rights of the people to natural resources such as land, water and seeds that is directly affecting the food sovereignty of the people if not they are protected.
On the World Food Day, 16th October 2015, the people's proposals developed handed over to the policy makers at a seminar in Colombo.

As NAFSO network we conducted events in — Batticaloa-08 of October,Trincomalee and Ampara 12^th of October,Mannar and Matara 13 of October,Galle and Negombo 14^th of October, Puttlam Kaluthara and Vauniya 15^th of October and National program at Colombo on 16 th of October.
